How we look after your data.
What we collect when you use astacms.com, the Asta dashboard and the Asta player app, why we collect it, who we share it with, and how you stay in control.
The short version
- We collect only what we need to reply to you, run Asta and keep it secure.
- We never sell your data, and we don't use advertising or tracking on this website.
- The content and data your organisation puts into Asta belongs to your organisation. We handle it only to run the service for you.
- Asta's servers are in Bengaluru, India.
- You can ask to see, correct or delete your data at any time. Email support@futureik.com.
1. Who we are
Asta is made and run by FutureIK Technologies Pvt Ltd ("FutureIK", "we", "us"), a company registered in India, with our office in Kochi, Kerala, India.
This policy covers:
- This website, astacms.com, including the Asta Docs and the forms on it.
- The Asta dashboard at app.astacms.com, where your team signs in to run your screens.
- The Asta player app that runs on your screens and media players.
- Emails, calls and WhatsApp messages you exchange with us about Asta.
We follow Indian law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and its Rules, and the Information Technology Act, 2000. Where the EU or UK General Data Protection Regulation applies to you, we follow it too.
2. Our role, and your organisation's
Depending on the data, either we decide how it's used, or our customer does.
- We decide for the details you send us through this website, the contact and sign-in details of people who use Asta, and billing records. For this data we are the Data Fiduciary (the "controller" under the GDPR).
- Your organisation decides for everything it puts into Asta: its pictures, videos and text, the people shown in them, its team's activity and its screens' records. Your organisation is the Data Fiduciary, and we are its Data Processor: we handle that data only to run Asta for it, as its agreement with us says.
If you bought Asta through an Asta partner, that partner may also manage your account and see its data, under its own agreement with you.
3. What we collect and why
When you use this website

This website has no advertising, no tracking pixels, no analytics scripts and no cookies.
When your organisation uses Asta

| Your screens | Each screen's name, pairing, IP address and the approximate location worked out from it (city, region, country), time zone, network speed, temperature, memory, storage and processor use, app and Android version, online and offline history, and device logs. On Professional, also the screenshots you ask for and Proof of Play records of what played and when. We use these to show you each screen's health, help you fix problems and produce your reports. |

We look at the content in your account only when you ask us to, when it's needed to fix a problem, or when the law requires it. Your organisation is responsible for having the right to use the content it uploads, including pictures of people.
We don't use your personal data or your content for advertising, and we don't sell it or rent it to anyone.
4. Who we share it with
We share personal data only when we need to, and only as much as is needed:
- Service providers who run parts of Asta for us. DigitalOcean, in Bengaluru, India, hosts the Asta dashboard, its data and your files. Cloudflare hosts this website and receives its forms. Resend delivers the emails our forms send. Our email and office tools hold our conversations with you. Each one may use the data only to provide its service to us.
- Asta partners. When you ask for a demo and a partner covers your area, we share your enquiry with that one partner after telling you. A partner who sold you Asta can see the account it manages for you.
- Authorities. When the law requires it, or to protect people's safety or our rights. We share only what the request requires.
- A new owner. If FutureIK or Asta is ever sold or merged, your data would move with it, under the same promises as this policy.
5. Where your data is stored
Asta's servers, including your account, your content and your screens' records, are with DigitalOcean, in Bengaluru, India.
Some providers work across many countries. Cloudflare delivers this website from servers close to each visitor, Resend may process form emails outside India, and screens may receive your files through a delivery network that keeps temporary copies near them. Where data leaves India, we do so only as Indian law allows, and only with providers who protect it.
6. How long we keep it

7. How we protect it
- Everything between your browser, your screens and Asta travels encrypted (HTTPS).
- Only the people at FutureIK who need access to do their job have it.
- Your organisation controls who sees what, with roles and permissions for every user.
- On Professional, login security asks for a one-time code by email at every sign-in.
- This website runs under a strict security policy that blocks scripts from anywhere but our own servers.
No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your personal data, we will tell you and the Data Protection Board of India without delay, as the law requires, with what happened and what you can do.
8. Your rights
You can ask us to:
- Tell you what personal data we hold about you, how we use it, and who we've shared it with.
- Correct or update anything that's wrong or incomplete.
- Delete your data, unless the law requires us to keep it.
- Withdraw your consent wherever we rely on it, as easily as you gave it. This doesn't affect what we did before.
- Nominate someone to use these rights for you if you die or can't act yourself.
- Complain to us about how we handle your data (see section 13).
If the EU or UK GDPR applies to you, you can also object to our use of your data, ask us to restrict it, or ask for a copy in a format you can take elsewhere.
To use a right, email support@futureik.com with "Privacy" in the subject. We may ask you to confirm who you are. We'll confirm we have your request within one business day, and complete it within 30 days. It's free.
If your data is in an organisation's Asta account (for example, you're one of its users, or you appear in its content), that organisation decides how it's used, so please ask it first. We'll help it answer you.
9. Cookies and browser storage
- This website sets no cookies. If you try "Put your name on it" on the home page, your name or logo stays in your own browser and is cleared when you close the tab. It is never sent to us.
- The Asta dashboard uses only the cookies it needs to work: to keep you signed in and to remember the project and page you're on. It uses no advertising or tracking cookies. If you block them, you won't be able to sign in.
- Fonts for your screens. When your team picks a font for text on a screen, the dashboard downloads it from Google Fonts, which sees your IP address as part of delivering it.
10. Emails we send
We send the emails you'd expect: replies to you, sign-in codes, security alerts, and messages about your account, service or billing. You can't turn these off while you use Asta, because they keep your account working and safe.
We send news about Asta only if you've agreed to it, and every such email lets you unsubscribe in one click.
11. Children
Asta is a service for businesses. It isn't meant for anyone under 18, and we don't knowingly collect children's data. If you think we have, email us and we'll delete it.
12. Changes to this policy
When we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. If a change affects how we use your data in an important way, we'll also email the administrators of Asta accounts before it takes effect.

We'll acknowledge your complaint within one business day and aim to resolve it within 30 days. If you aren't satisfied with our answer, you can take it to the Data Protection Board of India. If you're in the EU or UK, you can also complain to your local data protection authority.
